About this piece

The Moonlight Earrings are a pair of long silver frivolité (tatting) lace earrings with opalescent bluish-white beads. The drawing is an asymmetric cascade: round rings and half-rings coming down in an S, with a medium faceted bead at the centre and several smaller ones spread among the petals. Depending on how the light hits them, the beads shift from milky white to pale blue. They're the most design-driven piece in the catalogue, and they look beautiful with your hair up.

Details

Knotted by hand with a shuttle in the tatting technique, with silver metallic thread in a light grey tone. The beads are opalescent, with a bluish-white sheen: one medium faceted bead as the centre and several small ones inside the rings, always woven into the knots and not glued. The drop is a single piece and holds its shape firmly; the hooks are silver leverback hooks. They weigh very little, so you can wear them all night. Every piece is one of a kind: hand-knotted, stitch by stitch, so no two come out exactly the same. They measure 8 cm long by 1.5 cm wide; weight 6 g the pair.

Care

Keep them away from water, and always put them on after your perfume and make-up. Store them resting flat inside their pouch so the cascade doesn't twist.

How do I care for it?

Keep it dry: water, perfume, cream and chlorine loosen the thread and dull the colour. Clean it only with a dry, soft cloth, and store it flat in its pouch, apart from other pieces and away from humidity.

Can I order an identical one?

Not identical: each piece is woven once, and that exact combination of thread, knot and stone is never repeated. We can weave one inspired by it, in your colours and with the stone you choose, as a custom order.
