About this piece

The Golden Onyx Earrings (short) are a pair of earrings in gold frivolité (tatting) lace with black faceted crystals, in the short version of the line. The motif is a vertical arabesque of interlaced rings curling in on itself, with a black crystal in the upper loop, another in the lower one and a spray of three beads hanging from the tip. The gold leans towards champagne, softer than a strong yellow gold. This is the option for when you want the Ónix Dorado design with less fall.

Details

Worked in classic tatting, ring by ring with the shuttle. The thread is gold metallic thread and the black faceted crystals are woven into the knots, not glued; the three beads at the tip hang free and move as you walk. Findings: gold leverback hook. The same design also exists in a long version and as a matching bracelet. Every piece is one of a kind: hand-knotted, stitch by stitch, so no two come out exactly the same. They measure 5 cm long by 1.5 cm wide; weight 3 g the pair.

Care

No water and no damp storage. Put them on after your perfume, never before. In the pouch they go flat, with no other pieces pressing down on top of them.

Not identical: each piece is woven once, and that exact combination of thread, knot and stone is never repeated. We can weave one inspired by it, in your colours and with the stone you choose, as a custom order.
