The Crystal River Earrings are a pair of long silver frivolité (tatting) lace earrings with clear faceted crystals set into the weave. Rings and arcs chain one after another and come down in a zigzag, like a thread of water winding its way, and every curve holds one large crystal ringed by smaller ones that throw the light back as you move. They are long but openwork, so they weigh far less than they look. They go straight to an evening out, a wedding or any night you want shine without colour.
Details
Worked in tatting with the ANKARS technique, developed on the base of classic tatting: firmer knots and a fall that holds itself. The thread is silver metallic thread and the clear faceted crystals are woven into the knots, not glued on. Silver hoop-style hook with a clasp. Tatting lace is delicate to look at and tougher than it seems, and this pair doesn't pull on the lobe. Every piece is one of a kind: hand-knotted, stitch by stitch, so no two come out exactly alike. They measure 6.5 cm long by 1.5 cm wide; weight 4 g the pair.
Care
Don't get them wet and never put them away damp. Put them on last, after the perfume and the cream. When you take them off, lay them flat in their case so the chain of rings doesn't end up twisted.
