About this piece

The Flor de Almendro Necklace — almond blossom — is a choker in silver frivolité (tatting) lace with pale pink seed beads edging every ring. The rings cross in pairs and build a rippling garland, and the pink appears only along the outline: barely a blush, the colour of an almond flower that has just opened. It rests right at the base of the neck and reads delicate even from close up. It goes with white, with beige and with anything you want to soften; for brides and daytime parties, ideal.

Details

Worked in tatting with the ANKARS technique, developed on the base of classic tatting: the knots are pulled tighter and the garland keeps its drawing. The thread is silver metallic thread and the pale pink seed beads are woven into the knots one by one, not glued on. It fastens with a silver lobster clasp. It matches the Flor de Almendro bracelet from the same line. Every piece is one of a kind: hand-knotted, stitch by stitch, so no two come out exactly alike. It measures 47.5 cm long by 1.5 cm wide; weight 6 g.

Care

Take it off before the shower and keep it away from water. Perfume and cream always first. Store it stretched out flat in its case so the beads along the edge are not forced.

How do I care for it?

Keep it dry: water, perfume, cream and chlorine loosen the thread and dull the colour. Clean it only with a dry, soft cloth, and store it flat in its pouch, apart from other pieces and away from humidity.

Can I order an identical one?

Not identical: each piece is woven once, and that exact combination of thread, knot and stone is never repeated. We can weave one inspired by it, in your colours and with the stone you choose, as a custom order.
