Flor de Amanecer Necklace

The Flor de Amanecer Necklace — dawn flower — is a frivolité (tatting) lace necklace in olive-gold thread that alternates large rosettes holding a pale pink bead with small links holding a pale green one. You only catch the two-colour rhythm up close; from a step away it reads as a gold chain with a pink light inside it. It falls to the collarbones, so it works over an open shirt, a plain tee or a v-neck — daytime, no effort.

Details

The links are hand-knotted, stitch by stitch, in tatting, in olive-gold metallic thread. They alternate large faceted beads in translucent pale pink with small semi-opaque pale green ones, always knotted into the lace rather than glued. It is a closed necklace that falls to the collarbones and fastens with a gold hook slipping into a loop woven from the same thread — a hand-finished detail that has become our signature. Every piece is one of a kind: hand-knotted, stitch by stitch, so no two come out exactly alike. It measures 49 cm long by 1 cm wide; weight 20 g.
