About this piece

Arrecife Rosa means pink reef, and this is a link bracelet worked in a straight line: a flat openwork band of frivolité (tatting) lace rings hooked one into the next, with a wavy edge. Along the centre line sit five round beads of translucent pink glass, some crackled inside, and between the motifs there are smaller faceted pink ones. That electric turquoise thread against the pink glass is pure reef — cheerful, summery and easy to wear on tanned skin.

Details

Tatting worked by hand in turquoise-blue metallic thread, which sparks quite a bit in the light. The pink glass beads are knotted into the lace rather than glued, which is why the band stays flat and flexible. It fastens with a silver hook that catches on a woven loop in the lace itself, with no rigid parts to dig into your wrist. Every piece is one of a kind: hand-knotted, stitch by stitch, so no two come out exactly alike. It measures 19 cm long by 1.6 cm wide; weight 6 g.

Care

Take it off before you get into water, and keep it clear of perfume and cream. Store it flat in its case so the band does not take a crease.

How do I care for it?

Keep it dry: water, perfume, cream and chlorine loosen the thread and dull the colour. Clean it only with a dry, soft cloth, and store it flat in its pouch, apart from other pieces and away from humidity.

Can I order an identical one?

Not identical: each piece is woven once, and that exact combination of thread, knot and stone is never repeated. We can weave one inspired by it, in your colours and with the stone you choose, as a custom order.
