About this piece

The Gota de Cristal Bracelet — crystal drop — is a link bracelet in frivolité (tatting) lace worked in silver metallic thread with an ice-grey tone. Every link is shaped like a teardrop and encloses a colourless, transparent faceted crystal, and between one drop and the next sit smaller light-blue crystals that soften the shine. On the wrist it looks like a row of water drops caught mid-fall.

Details

Hand-knotted stitch by stitch in the ANKARS technique, developed on the base of classic tatting, in ice-grey silver metallic thread that gives the weave the firmness it needs to hold the shape of each drop. The colourless faceted crystals and the light-blue ones are woven into the knots, not glued on. It fastens with a silver lobster clasp over a loop woven in the same thread. Every piece is one of a kind: hand-knotted, stitch by stitch, so no two come out exactly alike. It measures 20.5 cm long by 1.5 cm wide; weight 7 g.

Care

Take it off before the shower, the pool or the sea. Store it in its case, away from perfume and cream, and lay it flat so the drops don't get crushed.

How do I care for it?

Keep it dry: water, perfume, cream and chlorine loosen the thread and dull the colour. Clean it only with a dry, soft cloth, and store it flat in its pouch, apart from other pieces and away from humidity.

Can I order an identical one?

Not identical: each piece is woven once, and that exact combination of thread, knot and stone is never repeated. We can weave one inspired by it, in your colours and with the stone you choose, as a custom order.
