About this piece

The Corazón Dorado Bracelet — golden heart — is a link bracelet in frivolité (tatting) lace worked in pale gold metallic thread. The oval links chain in a zigzag and carry ice-white faceted crystals all around the outline, with garnet-coloured accents right at the corners, where the drawing changes direction. The detail that gives it its name is at the fastening: an openwork gold heart that works as the ring and stays in view on the wrist. The motif repeats the one from a Corazón Dorado bracelet we have already sold; this is a new piece, woven separately.

Details

Hand-worked with a shuttle in the tatting technique, in pale gold metallic thread. The beads are semi-translucent ice-white faceted crystals plus garnet-coloured faceted crystals at the corners; they are woven into the knots, not glued on. The findings are gold: an openwork heart on one side and a small clasp on the other. It lies flat on the wrist and you barely feel it. Every piece is one of a kind: hand-knotted, stitch by stitch, so no two come out exactly alike. It measures 20 cm long by 1.4 cm wide; weight 4 g.

Care

Keep it away from water and from perfume. When you are not wearing it, leave it stretched out in its case without bending the links, and it will keep falling the way it did on day one.

How do I care for it?

Keep it dry: water, perfume, cream and chlorine loosen the thread and dull the colour. Clean it only with a dry, soft cloth, and store it flat in its pouch, apart from other pieces and away from humidity.

Can I order an identical one?

Not identical: each piece is woven once, and that exact combination of thread, knot and stone is never repeated. We can weave one inspired by it, in your colours and with the stone you choose, as a custom order.
