About this piece

The Cristal de Agua Bracelet — water crystal — is a link bracelet in frivolité (tatting) lace worked in a very pale champagne-silver metallic thread. The links interlock in crossing waves, and at every crossing sit light-blue faceted crystals with an iridescent sheen that turns green or violet depending on how the light hits them. It is an everyday bracelet that still gets noticed every time you move your hand.

Details

Hand-knotted stitch by stitch in the ANKARS technique, developed on the base of classic tatting, in champagne-silver metallic thread with a tight knot: that is why the band keeps its round shape even with no wrist inside it. The iridescent light-blue faceted crystals are woven into the knots, not glued on. It fastens with a small gold-toned metal clasp. Every piece is one of a kind: hand-knotted, stitch by stitch, so no two come out exactly alike. It measures 18.5 cm long by 1.4 cm wide; weight 6 g.

Care

No water, no pool, no sea. Store it in its case away from perfume and cream, lying flat, and don't let it get crushed under other pieces.

How do I care for it?

Keep it dry: water, perfume, cream and chlorine loosen the thread and dull the colour. Clean it only with a dry, soft cloth, and store it flat in its pouch, apart from other pieces and away from humidity.

Can I order an identical one?

Not identical: each piece is woven once, and that exact combination of thread, knot and stone is never repeated. We can weave one inspired by it, in your colours and with the stone you choose, as a custom order.
