About this piece

The Encaje de Plata Bracelet — silver lace — is a link bracelet in frivolité (tatting) lace in silver metallic thread, where each link crosses over the next to make a figure of eight. At the centre of every eight sits a large clear faceted crystal with a sea-green sheen that shows up from the side; between one and the next alternate smaller white opaline seed beads. It is pure silver to look at: it works with a watch, with rings or on its own.

Details

Hand-knotted stitch by stitch in the ANKARS technique, developed on the base of classic tatting, in a firm silver metallic thread that lets the bracelet stand up on its own. The beads are clear faceted crystals with a sea-green sheen and white opaline seed beads, all of them woven into the knots and none of them glued. It fastens with a silver lobster clasp hooked into a loop woven in the same thread. Every piece is one of a kind: hand-knotted, stitch by stitch, so no two come out exactly alike. It measures 19 cm long by 1.3 cm wide; weight 5 g.

Care

Keep it away from water and from cleaning products. It is best left in its case, flat and with no weight on top, away from perfume and cream.

How do I care for it?

Keep it dry: water, perfume, cream and chlorine loosen the thread and dull the colour. Clean it only with a dry, soft cloth, and store it flat in its pouch, apart from other pieces and away from humidity.

Can I order an identical one?

Not identical: each piece is woven once, and that exact combination of thread, knot and stone is never repeated. We can weave one inspired by it, in your colours and with the stone you choose, as a custom order.
