Flor de Almendro Bracelet

The Flor de Almendro Bracelet — almond blossom — is a wide cuff in frivolité (tatting) lace worked in silver metallic thread, built from three rows of oval rings interlaced with one another. At every join a pale pink seed bead peeks out: there are dozens of them, tiny, and from a distance they look like almond petals just fallen onto the silver weave. The band is wide and openwork, so it looks substantial without weighing anything.

Details

Hand-knotted stitch by stitch in the ANKARS technique, developed on the base of classic tatting, in silver metallic thread with a firm knot that holds the band round. The pale pink seed beads are woven into the knots, not glued on, marking every crossing between the rows. It fastens with a silver lobster clasp over a loop woven in the same thread. Every piece is one of a kind: hand-knotted, stitch by stitch, so no two come out exactly alike. It measures 19 cm long by 2.5 cm wide; weight 3 g.

Care

Don't get it wet and don't leave it in strong sun. Store it in its case, away from perfume and cream, lying flat so the three rows don't twist.
