About this piece

Luz de Luna means moonlight, and this is a silver frivolité (tatting) lace bracelet with a scalloped edge: a row of semicircular arches runs along the top, and below them the bows open to hold the beads, opalescent in blue-white, spread along the whole band. Flat, flexible and milky rather than metallic in its shine, it has a lunar air that makes it a good call for a wedding, yours or someone else's, and for a winter night out.

Details

Tatting worked by hand in silver metallic thread in a light tone. The opalescent blue-white beads, small, round and faceted, have that milky flash that shifts with the light, and they are knotted into the lace rather than glued. It fastens with a folding silver hook that clips onto a woven loop in the lace itself. Every piece is one of a kind: hand-knotted, stitch by stitch, so no two come out exactly alike. It measures 20 cm long by 1.5 cm wide; weight 4 g.

Care

Keep it dry and put on perfume or cream before you put it on. Store it flat in its case so the scalloped arches keep their curve.

How do I care for it?

Keep it dry: water, perfume, cream and chlorine loosen the thread and dull the colour. Clean it only with a dry, soft cloth, and store it flat in its pouch, apart from other pieces and away from humidity.

Can I order an identical one?

Not identical: each piece is woven once, and that exact combination of thread, knot and stone is never repeated. We can weave one inspired by it, in your colours and with the stone you choose, as a custom order.
