About this piece

The Violeta de Plata Bracelet — silver violet — is a wide, cuff-style bracelet: an openwork mesh of silver bows interlaced in two or three rows, with round deep violet beads seated in the knots and, between them, small translucent beads in pale lilac-blue and crackled clear. The weave is double and builds body, so the bracelet holds its arc on the wrist instead of collapsing. The effect is frost with fruit inside it — wintry, delicate and easy to spot.

Details

Hand-worked in the ANKARS technique, developed from classic frivolité (tatting), in matte grey-silver metallic thread with a soft sheen; those firmer knots are what hold the volume of the mesh. The deep violet beads and the translucent ones are knotted into the lace rather than glued. It fastens with a silver hook clasp. Every piece is one of a kind: hand-knotted, stitch by stitch, so no two come out exactly alike. It measures 20.5 cm long by 2.5 cm wide; weight 13 g.

Care

Do not get it wet and do not spray perfume on it. Because it is wide and holds volume, store it lying flat in its case and away from creams.

How do I care for it?

Keep it dry: water, perfume, cream and chlorine loosen the thread and dull the colour. Clean it only with a dry, soft cloth, and store it flat in its pouch, apart from other pieces and away from humidity.

Can I order an identical one?

Not identical: each piece is woven once, and that exact combination of thread, knot and stone is never repeated. We can weave one inspired by it, in your colours and with the stone you choose, as a custom order.
